God's Call to Action Nehemiah 1
Nehemiah was an ordinary man living a comfortable life when he heard about the condition of Jerusalem. His burden for his people made him willing to leave his comfort for a more important and more valuable work.

Nehemiah is called by God to lead the Israelites in rebuilding the city that was destroyed. The work was hard and the enemies plentious, but because God was with them, they prevailed to the glory of God.
